The Lake Spirit was a 14 wooden sculpture of a woman representing the immense power of the Great Lakes. Situated at Harbourfront Centre on the shore of Lake Ontario, she gazed out over the lake her arms up stretched, holding a large vessel of water. The Lake Spirit was the centre piece of a community performance, the finale of the Luminato Festival, that celebrated our interconnection through water and gave a mythical voice to each one of these ancient lakes.
