Harbourfront Centre Luminat'eau Festival - June 2008
Luminato became 'Luminat'eau when Harbourfront Centre held a four-day festival celebrating Water in all its forms.
The Lake Spirit sculpture represented the immense power of the Great Lakes. Standing on the shore of Lake Ontario, she gazed out over the Lake her arms up stretched, holding a large vessel of water. The Lake Lake Spirit was the centre piece of a community performance, the finale of the festival that celebrated our interconnection through water and gave a mythical voice to each one of these ancient lakes.
